Maize Rage Student Org Webmaster

I was elected as Webmaster of the Maize Rage Student Section in April of 2023 & April of 2024. In this role, I create posts for social media and interact with students and fans via Instagram & Twitter (X) in an effort to boost engagement among Michigan students.

To be a successful student section, it is vital to expand the Maize Rage's online presence. Since 2023, our Instagram follower count increased from 5,500 to 6,830 followers (+24.2%).

Our executive board is worked hard to create successful tables for the annual University of Michigan student organization fair (Festifall). In both 2023 and 2024, our Festifall table surpassed 1,000 individual student interactions over the course of 3 hours.

Sport Management Intern

In the summer of 2024, I interned at Legacy Center Sports Complex in Brighton, Michigan. Over the span of 9 weeks, I spent over 180 hours working at the facility. While under the supervison of former Professional Baseball player, Mr. Kevin Ahrens, I was a sponge for knowledge. Mr. Ahrens is the VP of Administration & Operations at Legacy Center. As his intern, I was exposed to all facets of Legacy Center Sports Complex, specifically by serving customers from working various roles within the organization (Facility Manager, Game Day Operations, Operations Team Member, Food Services, Sports Performance, etc.). I was assigned to several individual projects, including taking inventory of all printed and unprinted Legacy Center apparel, taking an accurate count of all the ribbon lanyards in the marketing storage room, and creating weekly schedules of games & practices for the Operations Team to prepare set-ups and take-downs of playing areas. The highlight of the internship was working the 2024 Powerade Invitational Soccer Tournament (August 16-18, 2024). Hundreds of teams came from all over the state and beyond to play in the 3-day weekend tournament. My main task during the tournament was to grab full trash containers, empty them, and replace them with fresh trash liners. In addition to this, I kept portable toilets stocked and replenished coolers with Powerade for the referees. My services allowed players, customers, & referees of the tournament to enjoy the entire weekend, especially while being outside from sun up to sun down every day.

Women's Basketball Team Intern

In the summer of 2022, I interned for the Eastern Michigan University Women's Basketball program. Over the span of 8 weeks, I spent over 170 hours working for the team. I took on several jobs during the internship, including: preparing breakfast, setting up the court, filming strength & condition sessions, and participating in practices. Head Coach Fred Castro and Strength Coach Cam Dietz continue to support my future sports endeavors.
